This time, we present Xiaomi's electric-assisted electric bicycle, the Xiaomi HIMO C20, which can now be purchased from an EU warehouse for $789:
At first glance, the Xiaomi HIMO C20 most closely resembles a classic fold bike, with its 20-inch wheels, high seat and handlebars. On closer inspection, however, we find plenty of differences.
The thicker frame may first appear, in which the replaceable 10 Ah 18650 lithium-ion battery is hidden. This power source drives a 36-volt, 250-watt electric motor that drives the rear wheels.
We can ride the bike with the usual foot control, electric assistance, or completely electric. In mixed mode, you can toggle between three more options, depending on how much you want the electric motor to help.
If we only use the 250 W motor, we can do up to 50 kilometers, but in dual, i.e. electric assisted mode, it can be up to 80 kilometers. Of course, these values are to be understood under ideal conditions. If you weigh more (maximum 100 kilograms) or take steeper roads, these kilometers may vary.
The battery is removable, so we can charge it comfortably in the working room, for example, without having to carry the whole bike with us. With the added adapter, it takes about 6 hours to fully charge.
The maximum speed of the bike is 25 km / h, and high-quality disc brakes are provided at the front and rear for stopping at high speeds. One of the LED lights has been placed under the height-adjustable seat, the front headlights can be found at the junction of the steering wheel and the frame.
The extremely bright computer with IPX5 protection is on the steering wheel, here you can read the battery charge, the mileage and the currently set operating mode in addition to the current speed.
