Oukitel has reduced the prices of its mobile phones quite properly in recent weeks, which, let’s face it, we users don’t mind at all. The Oukitel WP5 Pro rugged mobile, which comes with an 8000mAh battery, can be ordered for $99.99, and the entry-level Oukitel C19 for just $59.99.

The wave of action is not over, today the price of the mid-range IP68 phone with a huge battery, the Oukitel WP6 (Standad Edition), has been cut a bit. You can get the latest Oukitel device in the Banggood promotion (for up to one hundred customers) for $159.99.
Oukitel WP6 - Standard Edition - Review
The first version of Oukitel WP6 has been on the market for a long time, it is currently available for about 219,99 dollars. The manufacturer has decided to release another model with the same name, albeit with the addition of the Standard Edition token, which is almost identical in appearance to its predecessor, but with different hardware components. This is not a unique move, we saw a similar one from Ulefone earlier this year with the release of a slightly modified, "silly" version of Ulefone Armor 7, the Ulefone Armor 7E.

The updated Oukitel WP6 has appeared on the shelves of virtual stores these days with cheaper but less excellent equipment. The IP68-protected, i.e. water-, shock- and dust-resistant mobile front panel features a 6.3-inch FullHD + (1080x2340 pixels) resolution display, protected by an 1.1mm-thick Gorilla Glass from external influences. The device features an eight-core MediaTek system chip, the Helio P60. In addition to the processors, this version comes with 4 GB of memory and 128 GB of expandable storage.

Fortunately, the trump card of the first edition, the best-known brand of Oukitel mobiles, is the huge 10,000 mAh battery. The operating time can be said to be above average, with normal use it is easy to bring the three-day operating time, but the 32-day standby time cannot be said to be everyday either.
With the 18 W quick charger, you don't have to worry much about charging a large battery. The device is otherwise OTG capable, ie it can be used as an external battery. Accessories include an OTG cable that allows you to easily charge any USB device.
With regard to cameras, there has been a minor change, instead of the 48-megapixel imager, the new model now features only a 16-megapixel module (OV16880) with a 5-megapixel and a 0.3-megapixel accessory. The resolution on the front panel has also been reduced to 8 MP.
Although the Oukitel WP6 is pre-equipped with a multilingual Android 9 operating system, the manufacturer promises to upgrade the software to Android 10 as early as this month.
Security is provided by a lightning-fast (0.2 second) Face Unlock system and a fingerprint reader built into the side of the phone.
Oukitel WP6 Standard Edition is currently available at a discounted price from the Banggood store. The introductory price of $ 159.99 will gradually increase depending on the number of purchases. So whoever is thinking of buying this rugged phone, do not hesitate much.
Oukitel WP6 High Edition vs. Oukitel WP6 Standard Edition
The original edition of Oukitel WP6 can be found in web stores as High Edition. In this model, we find a hair faster, system chip, the MediaTek Helio P70, with 6GB of memory and 128GB of storage. The rear cameras are 48 MP + 5 MP + 2 MP and the front camera is 16 MP. All other parameters are unchanged.

You can also order the Oukitel WP6 High Edition mobile phone from the Banggood store at the cheapest price, for $219.99. Which is still not bad. If a 10,000 mAh battery isn’t vital, you can get the Ulefone Armor 7E rugged phone with Helio P90 Soc and NFC, which is currently the best mid-range rugged phone in this price range.
