GPD's special GPD Pocket 2 laptop with a 7-inch display went on sale last year but was priced too high. This time we are introducing a smaller 6-inch mini computer, the GPD Micro PC, which is fortunately available at a much more affordable price.

The GPD Pocket 2 Mini Laptop was a really good product, but at a price of $700, very few could buy it. That's why the manufacturer launched the GPD Micro PC this year, which you can buy for about $380 from TomTop. Coupon code required for purchase: WDGDPPC
The GPD MicroPC is actually a miniature laptop with a 6-inch HD (1280x720 pixel) touch screen and a full-featured keyboard. And its size is barely that of today's cell phone: it's only 15 centimeters wide by 11 centimeters high, and its thickness is just over 2 centimeters, so you can carry it in your pocket. It weighs a little more than a phone, but at 440 grams, it is lightweight among laptops.
Under the back cover is an Intel Celeron 4100 processor with 8GB of DDR4 memory and 128GB of SSD. An Intel processor with 10W TDP is clearly a good choice, and is more powerful than the Intel 4415y in the Microsoft Surface Go mini laptop.

The 128GB SSD with M2 interface contributes greatly to fast operation and fast load time. There is no complaining about speed, SSD read speed is 576 MB/s and writing speed is 465 MB/s.
The GDP Micro PC has a battery size of 2x3100mAh, which is enough for about 6-8 hours of office work. Charging is also a concern of the manufacturer: thanks to PD 2.0 (Power Delivery), you can charge up to 50% in just half an hour. Plus, the Micro PC is compatible with all types of 5V/3A mobile chargers so you can charge it from an external battery.
The tiny laptop comes with Microsoft's full-featured operating system, Windows 10 Pro. If you like LINUX, the good news is that it is compatible with Ubuntu MATE.

The mini machine is richly equipped with both wired and wireless connections. With dual-band Wi-Fi (802.11a / b / g / n / ac) and Bluetooth (4.2) support, many inputs and outputs are added to the sides: thanks to VGA and HDMI 2.0 ports for almost any external display (monitor, projector, LCD TV).
Other connectors include 3xUSB 3.0, RJ45 Ethernet, USB Type-C port, MicroSD socket and microphone/headphone connector.
The full-featured QWERTY keyboard also has a backlight, with touch buttons and scroll wheel above the buttons and a touchpad in the upper right corner. Since the entire keyboard is only 15 cm x 9 cm, you will definitely need some time to get used to typing and navigating.

Despite its small size, the GPD mini computer is extremely rugged and the touch screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 from external physical influences.
The weakness of many passively cooled laptops / computers is throttling. This occurs when the processor heats up to too high a temperature and the machine drops its power to prevent overheating.
Fortunately for the GPD Mini PC, this has been eliminated by the manufacturer, as there is active cooling under the backside. In other words, it is a semi-active, semi-passive solution, since the user can decide which mode he wants to use. There is a separate fan switch button on the top of the keyboard.
You can now buy this special-looking mini-laptop at TomTop. Entering the WDGDPPC code, the final price of the GPD Mini PC is $ 379.99.
