MediaTek is set to reveal its Dimensity 9300 chipset on November 6th, at 19:00 local China time. The Dimensity 9300, positioned as the flagship System-on-Chip (SoC) from the renowned chipmaker, is set to compete head-on with upcoming rivals like the Exynos 2400 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

MediaTek Dimensity 9300 - Release date

What truly sets the Dimensity 9300 apart from its competitors is its CPU configuration. This SoC boasts not one but four Cortex-X4 cores, a unique configuration. It is anticipated that these cores will be organized in a 1+3 layout, with a ‘prime’ core running at an impressive 3.25 GHz, along with a cluster of three cores operating at 2.85 GHz. Notably, there are no Cortex-A520 cores in the mix. The GPU integrated into this powerhouse is the Arm Immortalis G720.

Recent days have seen the Dimensity 9300 platform appear on the AnTuTu database, where it achieved a remarkable score of over 2 million points. This is a notable milestone, as no other smartphone had previously crossed this threshold on the AnTuTu benchmark. Even more impressive is the individual component scores.

The exact device used in this benchmark test remains unknown, and the model number offers no significant insights; it might have been a testing platform. The test configuration comprised 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, with the device operating on Android 14.

These benchmark scores represent raw hardware performance, and it’s important to note that real-world experiences may not exhibit such dramatic differences, unless aided by exceptional cooling solutions. Tech enthusiasts and smartphone aficionados alike eagerly await this revelation.
